What is this life if, full of care
All we can do is stand and stare.
Watch the news within our house,
Hear politicians make their vows.
For the world now sees their hate, their vile,
In Allah's name their murderous bile.
Now time to see, in broad daylight,
The cowardice they call "their fight".
This is their religious trance,
Their way to heaven, their game of chance.
No time to see what they have done,
To know they will have never won.
A poor life this if, full of care,
All we can do is stand and stare.

Welcome to MPS, Middie! I like your poem, especially the repetitive line at the beginning and end. Well done.
WELCOME FRIEND ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ excellent in style but ~ of necessity ~ a very sad message. However the ARIANA CONCERT in Manchester tonight shows that we will never be defeated by terrorism. They are duped into believing in PARADISE & Celestial virgins ~ but tonight they are rotting in HELL ! It grieves me that our normally very tolerant Police now have to shoot to kill. Thanks for you poem ~ please check mine ~ BRIAN
Good write, this is not about religion, any religion it is the despots that are at large in any country.
