THE WISDOM OF FOLLY

Louis Gibbs

Consider the folly of a man in his twenties

Who believes he has wisdom well beyond his years,

Who doesn't yet understand that

Some things are simply impossible to do ...

So he does them.

The best way to get someone to do something is to tell them that can't .

I certainly did things then which I can't do now. Great piece.

      They asked if he’d done
      Things that could be done
      And yes he had done
And they said can you do
      Things that cannot be done
And he said he would do
And he did and he failed.

When the impossible is done it becomes part of life's experience and without experience we would not progress. Good write.
