Stark edges of the skyline
Shades of grey against the blue
I’m capturing the mountains
And giving them
To you
But you say that you don’t want them
Don’t need anything from me
& you toss them in the waste bin
But you still won’t set
Me free.

I thought this could be about strup mining . Kentucky or West Virginia , where they strip away huge mountains , fill in river valleys with the debris . And you wind up with a flat landscape with no soil value unfit for growing anything but scrub pine .
Interesting. Never thought of it in that context. Might enter it in a competion about the environment. Cheers
I like this appealing, well formatted poem, Garry, and look forward to more!
Thank you.
I've about 30 others posted up here earlier. Wide variety of styles. Mostly more macabre than this.
A good one Garry.
