KISSING DAY IN UK ~ An Acrostic Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

KISSING ~ On the Face or Hand or Hair

IS ONE  of the nicest ways to show affection

SO IN THE UK ~ Today is National Kissing Day

SO KISSING In PUBLIC is legal even between TWO MEN !

IF I AM Greeter at Church ~ I kiss all the Ladies ~ from

NINE MONTHS to NINETY PLUS ~ and all of the

GENTS ~ get a Man~hug and a hand shake !

DON'T  normally kiss (all) the shop~girls ~ but TODAY is

AN EXCEPETION and on the Market stalls ~ the Ladies

YOUNG & OLD wear "KISS ME QUICK" HATS ~ not at ASCOT !

I AM A Romantic and I like Days ~ like Kiss ~ Hug ~ Cuddle

NOBODY TAKES offence ~ and nobody abuses the privilege !

UPSETTING ~ Fires & Terrorism have mde the UK a bit SOMBRE ~ so

KISSING DAY is just what the Doctor ordered ~ have you has yours ?

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ A kiss for all ~ BRIAN XX

I don't presume that very Lady I meet today will know what day it is

BUT when I explain ~ most of them are up for it and I am wearing my

Old Spice aftershave !  A kiss on the cheek can be quite sentimental !

This poem is presented as a 7~3~2~2 Acrostic Sonnet ~ OK

Well ANGEL ~ Kissing Day is a Happy day so I have had lots of PECKS at work today from staff and students. Some of the Female Students even set up a 50p (= 40c) a KISS Stall in the canteen to raise money for the Tower Block Fire Victims ! I'm glad ANGELA does not charge 50p a kiss. Blessings & Happiness ~ Big hugs ~ BRIAN .

Agghh, that reminds me. Kisses under the mistletoe at Christmas! The men dreaded it at work, in case they kissed the female boss. A worse horror we could not imagine! heehee. She preferred to kiss the Company Rule Book! Or we could kiss something else - her a**e (ooh)! She was pompous enough. Made myself swoon now.

Thanks STEVE ~ At the CHRISTMAS PARTY I always preferred to kiss the Secretaries and most of BOSSES were MALE ! It's the same at College~ but some of the Female HOD's are very kissable ~ especially BEAUTY THERAPY ! We do have CHRISTMAS PARTIES (with mistletoe) and lots of KISSES ! BRIAN

Now I'm upset. lol. Please excuse me while I be sick. Not out of sentimentality, but with my previous comment. Phew! But you did not say anything about kissing our boss, so we're let off! heehee.

          • BRIAN & ANGELA

No need to apologise I enjoyed it. Th thought of MEN having to kiss their Female Boss's TUSH made me cry with laughing ! BRIAN

Maybe we should start a movement to have kissing day at least once a week!

A kiss a day - whenever anyone asked my father what time it was he'd reply: 'half past kissing time, time to kiss again'. Funny at first but it did get on your nerves after hearing it a few times.

All FATHER'S have funny sayings ~ My Dad's is "I'm not here today and gone tomorrow ~ I'm going tonight to make sure" BRIAN

I reckon we could put these together into a poem - another of my fathers when asked where he was going: 'There and back to see how far it is' or 'Don't know till I get there'

              • orchidee

I upset myself - made myself sick at the thought of our last boss! God forbid - but she wouldn't know what mistletoe is for even!

In my experience \"Girls were made to Love & Kiss\" However some LADIES are 100% unkissable and it\'s not just the Bad Breath and Stubble ! I\'m not being cruel ~ just realistic ! BRIAN

                • Heather T

I think that's a lovely holiday! I hope everyone remembers to share a peck with the loneliest and the least.

                  • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks HEATHER ~ I make no exceptions ~ everyone gets a kiss some Older Ladies have not been kissed lovingly for ages and they love it ! Yours BRIAN X

Thanks MENO ~ pleased it rang your Bell ! I know how much you appreciated a KISS and in my experience LOVE is often initiated with a KISS ~ Yours BRIAN X
