A mouth-watering array of juicy haiku - - each fruit selected is full of yummy perfection . Delicioussssss to read and of course to eat .
Thanks FAY ~ I am biased of course ~ but I am sure you will agree the English Strawberries do have a unique flavour and the same is true of the other soft fruits ! I am also very proud to find Tiptree Jams in Hotels ~ Worldwide ! Yours BRIAN
Thanks for introducing me to English haiku, Briansodes. Delicious poem!
Thanks LOUIS ~ English Haiku ~ should be about Nature & the Seasons. A perfect English Haiku should have 17 English Syllables arranged in 5 7 5 triplet. If it is not about Nature it is called a SENRYU ! Some Poets find 17 syllables to restrictive so we have the English TANKA which allows a further 14 syllables (5 7 5 7 7) which are to add clarity to the POEM. Hailu ~ Senryu & Tanka should not rhyme ! These rules all get broken but I am not too critical because ~ to the reader (or listener) ~ the CONTENT (message) of the Poem is (to me) more important than the form ~ OK Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN
You are obviously a student of poetic expression. I commend your knowledge and appreciate the information you have shared ... many thanks, Briansodes!

Thanks CHRIS ~ I was salivating writing it. At my MUM\'s fro Lunch today ~ with Angela ~ and we has fresh raspberries from the garden with vanilla ice cream and fresh double cream. My MUM has always grown \"soft fruits\" ~ she loved the poem and all the comments. She has always encouraged me to read and write Poetry. Because my Dad is a Wordsmith (Newspaper Man) we always had lots of Art and Poetry books in the house. Because Births ~ Marriages ~ Deaths ~ Hatches ~Matches ~ Dispatches ~ came under my Dad\'s department he was very good at composing (short appropriate) Poems for each phase of Life !
