WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE "SENSE" AND WHY ?

MY FAVORITE SENSE ~ is my sense of SIGHT
I really miss it when its DARK at NIGHT
For COURTING it's my best sense yet
Because what you see ~ is usually what you get !
It is superfluous to say
I do all my courting in the DAY !

Five senses or so we are told
One of which I’ve been asked to choose
But please if I may be so bold
I‘m afraid I shall have to refuse
It’s the sixth sense that I value most
So I do hope you won’t take offence
but I’d like to propose a toast:
Let us drink, please, to common sense.

As i walk along Life's Road
SENSE COMMON ~ hides behind a Fence !
I see People using sight to see
And ears to hear when they speak to me
Lips to taste and Hands to touch
Noses to smell if the pongs too much
People risk the road for few dropped PENCE
BUT I DIDN'T SEE NO COMMON SENSE !

What would I do without my sight?
I would be in quite a plight!
Unable to see here or there
Not able to see anywhere!
Yes, it's my sight that I adore.

I'm jumping for joy and I'm happy inside
My Friend CHRISTINA ~ on the stroke of midnight
Has posted a POEM on the Sense of Sight !
An ODE from her has at last come back
Up STARS & STRIPES ~ down my UNION JACK !
Although until Morning ~ not seen by a soul
The STARS and STRIPES flies from my POLE !
In the morning ~ folks will ask "Well did he jump ?"
HAS HILLARY displaced the CHUMP ?
No not yet ~ I will have to say
BUT CHRISTINA's posted a Poem TODAY
I promised her ~ when its in the BAG
Whatever the time I will FLY THE FLAG !
So I'm one HAPPY CHAPPY and glowing inside
My favorite sense is my SENSE of PRIDE
Who could refuse ~ when the lovely
CHRISTINA is moved by the MUSE !
