"Take the opportunity" the rich are heard to say,
But when times are hard who really has to pay?
The rich build their castles from our misery,
While the rest are making history.
The poor must rise from their slumber,
But "one" will rise to to lead their number.
"Equality!" is their battle cry and their potion,
as the revolutionary wheels are set in motion.
Will this leader make a difference?
Even with so much interference.
Hope, they say, is beginning to show,
Surely this awakening will not slow?
Can the forces of justice and equality,
Create a world of isopolity?
So wake up my citizens and the leader do follow
The world is ours and it's not so hollow.

WELCOME FRIEND ~ Thanks for your First Poem ~ Excellent in Structure (love rhyming couplets) and Subject ! When I saw the Title I immediately thought JC (A Preacher of Justice & Equality) and I wasn't disappointed ! The last great Socialist Leader of the Labour Party (so i am told) was Micheal Foot who could run rings round Margaret Thatcher ~ intellectually ~ but (unlike her) he was not ruthless enough politically Jeremy is a true SOCIALIST (Old Labour) and Mother Theresa is no match for him Politically. I have just spent two weeks in Socialist CUBA ~ a very Happy People ~ and unlike New York & London I never saw a single Police or Militiaman (except the Guard of Honour at Che Guvara's Tomb & Museum) no BEGGARS or ROUGH SLEEPERS. TRUMP is mad and he even paraded "Bay Of Pigs ~ Veterans ~ 1961" last FRIDAY in Miami ! When will they ever learn that the 1959 Revolution was a People's Revolution and the Cuban people drove the corrupt US GANGSTERS from Miami into the sea and kept all their cars and reclaimed their Contry ~ ONCE & FOR ALL ! Let us hope that in the not too distant future JC will do the same for the UK. David Cameron jumped Ship and Theresa no longer holds the WHEEL of the Ship of State ! At the next General Election JC (and Socialism) will win by a landslide ! Vive La Revolution ~ Vive JC ~ BRIAN (UK)
If we can not free the world let's at least free our soul from the world.
Very good write about the state our country is in maybe Jeremy will rise to be the leader of our country but being a cynic those with the wealth and power who really run our Country may not allow it. Welcome to MPS.
