Fits tune: Lauda Anima

('Praise my soul, the King of heaven')

Psalm 48

********

1. Great the LORD, greatly to be praised

Now to Him hymns be upraised

Praise Him in His city Zion

He the Lamb, He the Lion

Zion, mountain, God there holy

Worship Him, bold, strong, and free

2. Beautiful its situation

Joy of whole earth, each nation

Is mount Zion, on the north side

Here God dwells, He does reside

'Tis the city of the great King

Sweet melodies to Him sing

3. God is known in her palaces

For a refuge, comfort this

Enemies did look, fleed  apace

There they did God's presence trace

As we have heard, so we have seen

That city great, not small, mean

4. O God, in midst of your temple

We have thought of you, recall

Your lovingkindness, and your name

As your praise, it is the same

Even to earth's farthest ends shown

Here your righteousness is known

5. Let mount Zion rejoice, be glad

Mournful hearts now be not sad

You people in Zion, judgements

You know He has true, fair sent

And too walk about the city

God's providings you shall see

6. Tell her towers, mark her bulwarks

Ramparts and fortified works

Consider her palaces bright

That you view there with delight

Tell the generation following

That they too of God may sing

7. Sing of all His grace, he presides

O'er His city, none besides

For He is our God for ever

And ever, forsakes never

He will be our guide for always

E'en to death, and endless days

Yep, I'm ready for Orion, DS/KS. At least I thought I was. I boarded the No.7 bus, only to be told that it's the No.11 bus that goes to Orion! Action: *All groan at me corny jokes!* lol.
