YOU LEFT A VOID

Louis Gibbs

How is it that one can become so attached

At such a deep level

With someone they've never met,

Nor will ever meet,

Simply by sharing poetry?

The question answers itself;

Poetry is of the soul, and in sharing it,

Souls touch.

The facade of physicality is irrelevant,

Not in play.

The connection is at a spiritual level,

Beyond the mind and matter of us.

I do not know, from what you told us,

If or when you might return.

But know this ...

When I say I will miss you

My sweet young friend,

Know the depths from which I speak ...

I will miss you, Kathy Hall.

Great write but is Kathy going somewhere? She has only just kindly commented today on my latest posting.

      • Louis Gibbs

She posted yesterday that she is taking an indefinite leave from the site. It may not have started yet, or she may just follow and comment. I guess we will see.

Agree wholeheartedly on the sharing of soul through the connection of poetry -this can bring attachment at sometimes a very deep level. Kathy I am sure will be sorely missed during her break from the site. First rate versing dear Louis.

Thank you for those kind remarks, Fay. Indeed she will be.
