RECYCLE AND SAVE THE PLANET ~ FOR YOUR GRANDCHILDREN !
TEN GREEN BOTTLES ~ on
the wall ~ five in recycle
five go in the stall !
Making new glass needs ENRGY
recycled glass ~ great for me !
METALS are precious
Copper's very rare ~ recycle
metals ~ do your share !
New steel ~ lot of pollution
recycled steel ~ solution !
PLASTIC pollutes the
land ~ plastic pollutes the sea
plastic spreads misery !
Recycled plastic can be
reshaped nice ~ for you and me !
PAPER ! Thousands of
tons each day ~ ripped up ~ screwed up
and then thrown away
Recycle ~ not a caper
wipe your bum on this paper !
GARAGE your CAR ~ get
on your bike ~ run ~ walk & hike !
cars pollute with their ............
SOx and NOx and CO2
sure will be the death of you !

Making "NEW" Glass ~ Metals ~ Plastics ~ and Paper not only requires scarce raw materials but also expensive energy and they produce pollutants. CO2 ~ SO2 ~ NO2 etc. Excellent Glass ~ Metals ~ Plastics ~ Paper can be produced from recycled material more cheaply ~ using less energy and producing less pollution. Recycled materials are just as good as "new" ! So please separate your "waste" and recycle ~ TO SAVE THE PLANET FOR YOUR GRANDCHILDREN ~ Love BRIAN XOX

As usual STEVE there is always a modicum of truth and commonsense in your ripostes ! Recycled Toilet Paper is just as soft and 5 times a cheap to produce ~ BUT you don't want your BUM in the locker room to broadcast TRUMP I WINS ! Also remember that the hot air w gush is mainly CO2 a dreaded greenhouse gas ~ so keep shtum ! BRIAN
Gosh! We could instantly be half way to overcoming this, if only we would not waffle! No chance of folk (or me?!) doing that though! lol.
Nice theme for your set of tanka. Yes it is true, we all must do our part, everywhere across the world. I recycle where I live. It's sad about paper getting chucked and not recycled as much as it is--contributing to deforestation. And we HAVE to cut down on how much we rely on our cars and ride our bikes or take public transportation if you can. Very insightful as always! Hugs-Christina
Thanks CHRIS ~ I love TANKAS because they are mature HAIKU and allow more poetic licence and scope ! My MESSAGE is always ~ Each Individual can make a difference ! Tes in the UK the SCOUTS used to collect paper because they could sell it for their funds. That has ended and lots o people now just chuck it and of course (as in the US) we get 5 or more items of "Junk Mail" each day. Forests absorb CO2 but are diminishing everyday ! (n ENGLAND we only have 10% Forest in KENTUCKY it is 50% ~ recycle paper ~ keep your TREES ~ Ecological Hugs ~ BRIAN
