A Cup of Tea

TiffanyR

                   A Cup of Tea

               I took time for tea,

To sit at a desk, and look at a book,

Just a moment I need, some time for me,

To gaze out the window, and lay in the nook.

The clock ticks steady, the lights are all dim,

I sip clear the honey, all over the rim.

             The streets are a-bustle,

But I shall not hustle; I shall sit ‘n snuggle.

Inside my brick building, the ivy in trellis,

A moment of quiet, I took time for tea.

Your poem just might make a tea lover out of this coffee drinker. Fine poem, I enjoyed it, Tiffany!

Your so well written poem is an invitation to step back once in a while and smell the flowers (or drink some tea). We never do that enough. Thank you for publishing, I needed it.
