reflection

Heather T

I found wilderness there

a stream ran down the mountain

caught pools of us

and I trickled you

between my fingers dying

over a million pieces

of compass

and I was never as lost again

as the day the lake stood between us

and not one piece of marbled sky

could be found in her mirror

crying

Pure poetry. Fairies, unicorns, mystery, ladies of the lake. Makes me feel my work is clumsy reading yours here.

    • Heather T

I actually just saved a most unclumsy piece of yours. Thank you so much for reading!

A bit bewildering yet satisfying ... a characteristic of much great poetry. I must say I enjoyed it, but am at a loss as to why. Thanks for posting this fine piece, Heather!

      • Heather T

It isn't very convoluted, dear Louis. It's about two good people that lost their way and letting go. Glad you liked it!

Excuse me, but "Marbled sky" is a term I've never seen before. It's great. This is why I love poetry.
