Words on a Page.

Goldfinch60

The words go onto the page.

They may be of love,

They may be of despair.

They may be of good,

They may be of bad.

They may be of music,

They may be of writing.

Thy may be of nature,

They may be of science.

They may be meaningful,

They may be meaningless.

They may be understood,

They may be misunderstood.

They may be of truth,

They may be of politics.

But as each word is written,

Part of our life is written onto that page.

Very true. Here i find a place to tell my stories, created fiction or life's adventures recounted. All a part of my life.

Just words but it always amazes me what you can do with them as in this simple yet so effective piece

    • Goldfinch60

Yes words always amaze me as well. Thank you Michael.

A fine write G/F. Of course, when on the sherry, every word of mine is meaningless! Just leave Orchi alone at those times, he means well, but he dunno what year it is when he's on the sherry - must be 1066, he says'! heehee.

      • Goldfinch60

Thanks Orchi. Stay off the sherry otherwise the years could be meaningless.

        • orchidee

How's 1066? Any reunion this year for it?!

English printed words in books, that's what I like to see. with my magnifying
vizor to help see them crystal clear.

          • Goldfinch60

May all the words you read remain clear.

The very definition of poetry, Sir. A precious way to capture part of our lives onto a page, indeed! Thank you for expressing it so well.

What? Politics is not truth? Nicely done.

                • Goldfinch60

Well it had to be said. Thank you Augustus,
