Galaxy ~ The Milky Way ~ Why ? How ? does
GAIA control Earth's equilibrium ?
Maintaining global temperature ~ SIXTEEN
Atmosphere ~ Nitrogen SEVENTY SEVEN
Oxygen TWENTY ONE and Other TWO
By Mineral Cycles ~ food chains and food webs
MAN ? Insignificant in Life on earth
Less than ~ one in a thousand ~ species !
Who then will survive Man ? TOUGH TARDIGRADE
In Environmental Stress ~ they're LIFELESS !
They don't need water and they can withstand
Extreme radiation ~ THEY WILL RULE THE WORLD !

GOD gave the Human Race a responsibility to Protect
and care for Planet Earth and conserve it as the Native
Americans did. Since the Industrial Revolution Man has
isolated himself and exploited the Earth's resources and
(almost) irreversibly polluted the land ~ the seas ~ the air !
This exploitation and abuse of nature (GAIA) has resulted
in a population explosion from 1 BILLION IN 1800 to 7.5
billion today and 10 billion by 2050 ! However we are still
outnumbered many thousands to one by Earth's Flora &
Fauna & Micro-organisms. GAIA's role is to preserve ALL
LIFE not just Human Life. When Technological Man makes
the Planet inhabitable for Humans ~ then the Bacteria and
the TOUGH TARDIGRADES will rule ~ UK and USA ~ OK !

- Comment from author about the poem: THE GAIA THEORY ~ was propounded by LOVELOCK & MARQUIS in the 1970's. It proposed that on Planet Earth the Living Organisms interact with the Earth's chemical systems in a synergistic self regulating system that continuously works to maintain and perpetuate the conditions necessary for Life on Earth. I would stress that it is concerned with ALL LIFE and not just HUMAN LIFE which is a negligible fraction. The Human race with all its POLLUTION since the Industrial Revolution upsets GAIA and the ultimate effect maybe to make the Earth's climate unsuitable for Man but ideal for TARDIGRADES and other Alien Lifeforms ~ YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ~ BRIAN XOX

are we on a crusade? I would like to help with this. but what can I do? I'm only one. compared to the billions on this planet. how can we think and do things together. in all these countries. believe me their are a lot of countries. and all of them have different thoughts and different governments. I think its all lost. unless we can invent the technology to help us. I think we are all hypocrites under our masks. how can all these countries come together as one? and how many languages do we speak in order to get together? how do we get together with all these wars we will have in the future? oh, there will be wars. just because this makes you angry does not mean your going to win. theres much more I could say, but I'm not on a crusade. and if there is to be a crusade are you going to lead it? to foolish right? this planet has been living for almost 5 billion years. you think its going to end now? in our lifetimes. I just say get off that pedestal with all the other preachers. me? I take it one day at a time. so be it.
THANKS FRIEND ~ The point GAIA & I are trying to make is that LIFE ON EARTH will continue but the planet will become less habitable for HUMANITY. Since the Industrial Revolution ~ Humanity has not worked in harmony with nature ! We are arrogant and think we are in a class of our own which is superior to the Microbes ~ Flora ~ Fauna. So we have doubled the CO2 from 250pm to 500ppm which has caused a ONE DEGREE C rise in temperature (15 to 16) the ice caps are melting and the sea level rising causing coastal erosion. Only a few % of the Earth's Surface is cultivatable and with increasing urbanisation ~ this is getting less~ the Earth's human population will be 10 billion by 2050 ~ over 50% living in Cities ~ more pollution ~ more deforestation ~ more Global Warming more starvation and more wars etc. Each individual can make a difference by being GREENER and TRUMP should be TRUMPED and America should commit to the Paris Agreement on reduction of CO2 emissions ~ the future is not ORANGE it is BLACK ! I appreciate it all. I have my way of thinking and do but it is not more important than yours. I live in a place where I keep the nature as much as preserved as possible and love to plant more trees 🌲 after planting need to take time to take care till they go by they own. Love this planet after all. And all the diversity. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks MALU ~ As you know green plants absorb CO2 and with water (H2O) convert it into GLUCOSE and then POLYGLUCOSE (starch & cellulose) One of the byproducts is OXYGEN so they help GAIA to maintain the CO2 / O2 balance in the atmosphere. Deforestation is one of the reasons for the doubling of atmospheric CO2 in the last 200 years. Plant a TREE and save the Planet ! Hugs BRIAN

Thanks for your comment ~ I used the term TECHNOLOGY to cover all industrialisation and mechanised transport etc. This has caused to CO2 content in the air to double with the consequent global warming etc. Technology could protect the rich majority form Environmental disaster but th majority would perish. Already millions die from starvation and disease each month due to global climate change which causes spread of desert etc. BRIAN
I shall say again, are you going to be the leader of this crusade? safe and sound behind your computer. some scientist you are. I don't believe you are one. what about your ego do you have one.
