Train to Nowhere

FredPeyer

Today feels as if I am

On a train to nowhere

I am moving without

Any idea where to

The past is a given

Over and done with

To be gazed upon

With acceptance

The present feels like

I’m floundering clueless

Through my world

Blind and mute

Waiting to board

That famous train

With departure time

But no destination

Hurtling through space

Excited, all anxious

Arriving breathlessly

at an unknown place

Trusting that in time

Any destination will

Feel like I was meant

To arrive there

That's what makes life worth living - not knowing for sure but always in eager anticipation - love this one Fred

      Thanks Michael,
it is true that sometimes we don't know where we are going, just hoping for the best.

Life is full of surprises and not knowing is sometimes very exhilarating. Very good write.

Just realized, it fits in a little bit with yours where we don't know what will happen next.

The past, "to be gazed upon with acceptance"; "Any destination will feel like I was meant to be there", both phrases gems of poetry, Fred! Love this one.

Mahalo Louis for your kind remarks!

This is great writing. It is like we are in the same boat or waiting for the same ride. The magic ride that will take us to fulfillment.

But we are malu, we are! As long as you believe in it, your ride WILL be magic!
