Tune: Little Cornard
('Hills of the north, rejoice')
*******
Psalm 47 v.1-2
Clap your hands. people all
Unto your God now call
Shout with triumphant voice
You have made Him your choice
For the LORD most high terrible
Is great King o'er the earth aweful
Psalm 48 v.1
Great is the LORD, greatly
To be praised e'er is He
In the city of God
Where your footsteps have trod
Mount Zion, city of the King
In Jerusalem to Him sing
Psalm 48 v.12
Walk about Zion, go
Round her palaces, know
'Tis where the LORD resides
Whence do flow all good tides (tidings)
Tell too her bulwarks and towers
Hs grace generations empowers
Psalm 47 v.7
God o'er the earth is King
Come now, Him praises bring
Sing with understanding
Let voice of worship ring
He reigns o'er all, o'er heathen too
Holy, enthroned, makes all things new
Psalm 46 v.1-2
God is our strength, refuge
He will help us, deluge
Pour upon enemy
We His victory shall see
For He our help, is here present
In Him we trust, full confident
Psalm 48 v.14
This God our God for e'er
In His life we may share
He will us always guide
He has not us denied
Our guide even unto our death
Until we draw our final breath

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 666688 metre. Sorry if the rendition in the clip is sung too fast, at about 100mph! I don't like it much - too gabbled! Hymn can be sung slower.

Thanks STEVE ~ love Praise and the Poems. I love to transpose a PSALM or a verse of a PSALM into a Poem (Psalm 104 tomorrow !) Of course in the original HEBREW ~ each Psalm is a Poem ~ some are acrostics etc ! Thanks for caring about us SPIRITUALLY ~ You friend BRIAN
Thanks B. I think they've ruined the hymn in this clip. They seem to sing it even faster than The Battle Hymn of the Republic: 'Mine eyes have seen the glory....' You doing ALL of Psalm 104?!
Amen, Orchi, Amen.
Thanks G/F. You singing it as quick as them? I wouldn't like to be in that choir. I would be worn out, with gabbling that quick.
It is a bit quick but I am sure that our choir would cope with it.
I'm sure it's too fast. Only ever heard it medium speed or slow.
