My grandson and his dog...

P.H.Rose

     My grandson and his dog

I love Khan said Phoenix today
As we walked the wood and field.
He tried to run along side
But the dog was to fast for him.
I could hear his little breaths
As he tried to keep up.
Screaming with laughter all the while.
This boys inner beauty is as rare as a snow cap on the moon.
And for everyone else to catch up cannot come too soon.
Inside that boy is a poet born
And will write wondrous words some day.
His love is so pure, I cry when reminiscing.
The days his arm wrapped around my shoulder,
Was a day the world just got too much.
Never mind grandad he says,
We can always go to the park.
I'm crying now ...
A day with my grandson is more than a lifetime of love..
