THE SMILING DIED
We broke apart
and in my mind
I hear her voice
and I recall
a time of joy
a time of fun
until the day
she went away
the day
the smiling died.

A love twice lost? Sad, indeed! Lost love is an integral experience of life to all it seems. Thanks for this fine expression, Michael.
