OUR LIFE'S MELODY

Louis Gibbs

Each of us choose,

Before returning,

The melody and key

Of our life's song.

Some might select

Harmonious themes

Ending in crescendos

Satisfying to the soul.

The life song I chose

And tried to dance to

Played throughout in

Haunting minor keys.

Minor keys produce some wondrous music but this write is not minor, it is major.

They say we all have our music to play and our song to sing. Mine is quite simple. Not much fuss. Beautiful writing. Love it 😍

Great write Louis! I don't think you know that I was in the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir! I sing 1st Tenor, and I really enjoyed your poem! Even though it's not put to music, I kind of put a melody to it for you and sang it to myself!

Good for you, Edward! I sang base in a gospel quartet in my teens, and did a lot of choral work along the way. Thanks or the comment.

All of our minds have a different tune and we all get through life with that tune. Nice write 🙂

Indeed, and we all step to the beat of a different drummer. Makes it interesting, wouldn't you say? Thanks for the compliment.

                            Yes, and you're welcome 🙂
