My Existence
22 years I have been in existence,
to continue I am in resistance.
I have nothing to live for, no one to care if I live or die,
if my hope wasn't crushed, I would most likely cry.
If there is a god then he had a wicked plan for me,
filled with loneliness, rejection and an unanswered plea.
I despise human beings, for they are selfish, cruel and bring nothing but pain,
If you trust these creatures then you are insane.
They will feed off your weaknesses, deceive you with a smile and manipulate your heart,
as they laugh they will tear it apart.
It's worse if you are created broken or damaged in any way,
they will abuse you, psychological and emotionally, until your final day.
My wish would be that they all could feel the pain and despair of loneliness and rejection,
ONLY then can ever form a connection.
22 years of existence filled with this and more, I dread,
and with this said, I pray I never awake from this bed.

WELCOME TO MPS MISS VANA ~ THANKS FOR YOUR FIRST POEM. MPS is a very empathetic site so you will probably get lots of TLC ~ because that's how we are ! Your poem is elegantly penned in Rhyming Couplets (my fave) and it has plenty of rhythm ! So far so good ! The contents however is full of angst and recrimination against Mankind & God ~ WHY ? I agree we do live in a Wicked World and people are selfish and despise "weakness" because it challenges all their ME ME ME motives. There is a GOD and his plans for all of us are only GOOD ~ I will pray for you ! We all experience difficulties in our lives ~ BUT ~ when I count my Blessings (and you must have some ?) I realise (despite some negatives) I'm better off than 90% of the Worlds POPULATION otherwise i would not be on this site ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ I trust your next 22 years will give you some cause for JOY & HAPPINESS ~ BRIAN
