I received a call because an emergency arose,
My mother somehow got a bloody nose!
We had taken her to the emergency room,
Not knowing if urgent or some sudden doom.
Her nose bled badly and needed someone near,
So I packed my bags and at her house, I'm here.
She got me out of bed a little after four,
Called the ambulance and took her out the door.
Bleeding nose again, this time so severe,
Emotionally, I tried to hold my tear.
I love my Mom so much it hurts,
Sometimes angry, it comes in spurts.
I just hope she is fine and everything okay,
We'll just have to take it as it comes each day.
You only get one Mother while we are here,
Keep them close, and always have them near.
Love until the end, whichever one comes first,
Without that kind of Love, I would just burst!
Loving her is easy, above any other,
That's all I have to say about my Dear Mother!

- Comment from author about the poem: This is a true story about the event that happened with my Mother. She'll be 87 this month, and I Love her unconditionally! As I stated, you only get one Mother so treasure the time that you have with them. I know I'll have plenty of loving memories!!!

You are a wonderful son!
My dear mum passed away a few years back now and I still miss her so so much. This is a super piece of writing and brings back memories of my own mum.
You are blessed to have such a relationship with your mother, Edward. Fine poem!
Thanks so much everyone! I am so tired that I can't answer separately, but I will later! Thanks for the comments!
Oh Edward this read moves me to the heart - a son's love for his mother is treasure beyond gold - beautifully written and hoping by now your Mom is recovered.
Double blessings of a beloved mother and a good son! Hope this comment finds you rested and mom well.
Good write, Mum's are special.
