Tune: Old Yeavering
('Like a mighty river flowing')
Romans Chapter 5 part
*******
Peace, peace, it good folk do seek sure
Whence comes peace, where be it e'ermore?
Surely when human hearts changed are
By nature they from God far
Yet Jews counted near to God be
And Gentiles as far from Him, see
Both to Him can be reconciled
Though sin's state makes all defiled
How this reconcile, atonement?
'Tis through Christ, God's only Son sent
Being justified by faith here
Believing the gospel clear
So thus justified we have peace
With God, a peace that shall not cease
Obtained through our Lord Jesus Christ
Offering, sacrifice, sufficed
Human plans for full peace measure
Somewhat only gains this this treasure
A fruit of the Spirit, peace be
God's power through you and me

This peace is 'like' so many things, as the hymn-clip says!
We all need to work for peace. Beautiful write.
