Searching far and wide
for some truth to consider
and why we ignore the obvious.
Entertainment will only numb
the emptiness and frailty of our world,
deserting the real meaning of our existence.
We are told how to think,
what to eat, and what to wear,
but to never question anything.
We are controlled, obviously...
but we still have that power to change.
Consider children from third world countries
who are far happier with less.
Having more money
and better cars will suffice,
when in truth, they leave us with an empty fill,
after the temporal joy has lifted.
For money will only wreck the heart
and take away your peace,
so take heed of the deception of the inclination of gold
and calculate the surmise of old.
Finally, love each day, one day at a time-
under the simple circumstances
that kindly reflect our humanity's share.

This world system is temporal. Yet, we are lied to, brought up thinking that more material will suffice...Our existence here in this frail time is to purpose our eternal destiny...
