Your Eyes (Linked Haiku)

rrodriguez

Empyrean eyes

these two brilliant-hued sapphires –

flashing in my mind.

Flashing in my mind

like burning stars, eyes aglow –

a sunbeam in each.

A sunbeam in each

glimmering bright rays of light –

penetrating deep.

Lovely poem Rodriguez. At my young age I had that attraction for blue eyes. All my friends knew that and one of them introduced me to a young guy that had beautiful blue eyes. When he looked at me I fall in love with him and I believe he did love me too because he came to be my romance for 3 years. I was too young and left to a far away city leaving my blue eyes behind. Broke my heart. Thanks for your writing.

This is a beautiful reply. You have several poems in this reply. Thank you for your comment. I too had an attraction for young blue eyes girl I married and have been with her just about36 years.

Oh! Great. Dark eyed people likes light colored eyes. Now I prefer to see the color of the heart. The color is not important for me anymore.
