  • Comment from author about the poem: Well after Santita and Brian published an Epulaerya I thought I ought to publish one. With a wife who cooks Asian food from the raw ingredients and doesn't resort to gloopy jars of paste this is close to my heart. Full explanation given under the poem.

Michael, a poem close to my heart too. The form is perfect, but the subject matter, bon appetit!
Know exactly how it tastes since my Chinese wife cooks the same way!

    • Michael Edwards

My wife is Burmese so we have lots in common - including fine food - thanks for your comments.

I have to assume that this is an Asian thing, not only Chinese, but with my wife love goes through the stomach!

Clever yet delicious! This is really good stuff.

Good write Michael. Like your wife I cook asian (and all) food from raw ingredients, I cooked an Andycurry last night and all the spices I ground from the seeds.

        • Michael Edwards

Yes I am the chief Grinder of Spices in our house - believe Andycurry is quite hot - just how I like it - basmati rice - dhal - raita - jeera aloo - side salad (not a boring western salad but a REAL salad) - mango chutney - thanks Andy

A fine write and pic M. Whether it's oriander or coriander, or whatever hot spice it is, I can't have it. Aww! I see the 'c'. lol.

Love coriander - in fact I grow it from seed for the kitchen so it's always nice and fresh,

I admire the art both visually and in the form...
            Bravo again

Delicious form and food. It is really like a pot of goodness. Luckily I'm not hungry now. Just had breakfast. Awesome poem Michael.

Are you hungry yet - we had baked and spiced fresh fish with Mediterranean vegetables for lunch - are you jealous? LoL 🙂 Thanks for your kind words.

Hey, lucky soul. Freshly cooked lamb Asian way. Will try this recipe someday.
Did you paint the art with the sauce. Looks so spicy.
A true joy for eye and stomach.

Not with the sauce but with a metallic pan scrub - thanks for looking in.

                  • WL Schuett

Cool didn't know there were so many kinds of poems each day I seem to learn about a different form anyway I enjoyed it and the art !

                    • Michael Edwards

Literally hundreds of different forms but many are a bit suspect. I do like those that set a challenge although this one is arguably one of the simpler forms. thanks for your kind comments.
