Listening to a native American elder
I see deeper reason for my tattoos
Hands are for healing
Not for creating wounds
Much like words
Boundaries easily crossed
It's not the true purpose
They are ment to build
For our strengths
Are others weaknesses
Others strengths
Are our weaknesses
When we are one
We are all whole
All being made
From our unique
Individualness

A great message so well expressed.
Thank you there was so much deep love at the end of writing it!
"When we are one, we are whole." A powerful philosophical statement! Fine poem, Dan.
Much appreciated and glad to be part of the whole that this site brings
Super sentiment expressed here with clarity and soul. If only every man could turn to his fellow man and say let us build together instead fighting one another. Heroically thought provoking.
Well I play on my stage the way that you say, I guess if you do then that's one more to the crew. FredPeyer is there with so many more, being the changes to bring about the new as we all need to be brave and stay the course.
Writing poetry wiser than the enemy will ever be (song quote).
Pen warriors will be the true revolution
No blood to be spilled
Only healing to be done. (PD)
The road is paved by the brave not knowing the way (another lyric)
Thanks for the inspiration lol
A very powerful, well written poem, PD! You are touching on some very deep truths and how anything (hands, words, etc.) can be used for destruction or for good. If we would use our strengths to compensate for others weaknesses, instead of loading it over them, the world would be a much better place.
This is a definitive favorite.
Thank you my man, must be all this positive Energies around physical and virtual but powerful none the less.
May we both go forth and create that place, I'll see one day on the other side my friend.
Ps. Hope you get a look at the reply above.
Read the above, agree completely.
Happy days, ride on 😉
Good write and great message.
Always appreciated! Thank you
