Wander While You Wait

WriteBeLight

How do I tether,

My wandering mind?

Losing my focus,

From time to time.

I guess that daydreaming,

Is one term for it?

Here at my desk,

In my chair, as I sit.

Thinking about T.V.

Last night what I watched.

Egotistical actress,

Whose surgery was botched.

Then, there’s that news,

A storm’s on the way.

Will linger and rain,

For maybe three days.

A report on the radio,

That actor just died.

Lost a battle with cancer,

I wanted to cry.

Sit and dwell upon,

The stories told.

Stare at my monitor,

Wish my report would load.

Great write. I too relate to this and like you don't want to unleash my mind to wonder on negativity. It robes us energy to do the good. The only time I'm really focused is when I'm drafting patterns and dealing with measurements, they it is impossible to think about anything else. Thanks for sharing.

                • WriteBeLight

You are so correct about using energy wisely! Thank you so much Malu! And, you are very welcome 🙂

This is good way to kill the waiting time. I shall try it next time. Hope my mind can still find the way home. Nice writing.

Minds can go everywhere except that place that it needs to be, must make the tea, and that wandering, Joyce will be up in a minute, can create all types, what shall we have for dinner, of problems for, we have some pork in the 'fridge, us during the, I wonder where that book is, day.

                        • WriteBeLight

Sounds like my house! Thanks Goldfinch!
