Still sound in the night
Two trees bathed in light
Two drops of warm rain
United, everything to gain
Hope and fear divided by two
The world suddenly a different hue
Swans drifting on a quiet lake
One asleep the other awake
Math changed, differently done
One plus one now equals one
Listening to the birds outside
Nothing more to hide
Dog barking it’s getting late
He is only looking for his mate
Life in turmoil totally invert
Wearing the I love you shirt
Hot bodies excitedly entwined
Sparks shooting through the mind
No more alone, finally there
With awe I look at the ring I wear

So beautiful, so peaceful and so sweet. A happy marriage is such a blessing.
Yes it is, and thank you very much for your kind comment.
This is beautiful Fred. Congrats on your marriage and the poem. Your wife must be happy with all your writings for her.
I hope so when one day I will show them to her! 😉 Thank you for your kind comment!
Having tasted the bliss of a happy marriage, I can certainly relate to this tribute to it. Well written, Fred!
Thanks so much, Louis!
So well expressed Fed - like Christina I can relate to this.
Mahalo Michael, I think we are the lucky ones!
We are indeed.
Wow! Ur just amazing!
Thanks so much, but it is my wife who is amazing. I just write it down, she does it!
Superb loving write.
Thanks so much, Goldfinch!
Amazing piece of writing which im sure resonates with all who are a part of or have been a part of the union of marriage. Certainly reminds me of what i am missing.
Thanks d a, what you are missing are the good parts, what you are not missing are the bad parts. Let's be realistic here, while I stand behind everything I write, there are things that do not get into print. No relationship is complete without some storms once in a while.
Given a choice of mixed weather or no weather.. hmmmm i think i'd prefer the mixed.
