Glory Gleanings

Tune: Thaxted

('Jerusalem the golden')

*******

Psalm 103 v.20

Bless the LORD, you His angels

Of Him wonders each tells

You excel in strength mighty

Do His commandments free[ly]

You hearken to His voice sure

The voice of His word pure

Delighting in His presence

His glories you do sense

Psalm 104 v.24

O LORD, how manifold be

Your works, we each one see

In wisdom have you all made

Each one for them plans laid

The earth of your riches full

Is, unto you we call

You LORD, the great Creator

How fine your treasure-store

Psalm 105 v.4-5

Seek the LORD, and His strength sure

Seek His face evermore

Remember His works marvellous

That He has done for us

His wonders, judgements, rulings

His salvation He brings

To all who will accept here

His Son as Saviour dear

Psalm 103 v.12-13

As far as east is from west

He has granted us rest

Has our sins removed from us

Forgiven, we profess

That like a father's sparings

He us His mercy brings

We pitied, as His children

Do trust Him, fear Him then

Psalm 103 v.14

We dust, dust, and like worms are

He God greater by far

Yet He has made and us known

And blessings us has shown

He knows our frame, we little

Oft weak, poor, and brittle

But He cares, and us His sheep

In His fold does us keep

Psalm 103 v.15-17

Mankind, days like fleeting grass

When o'er us wind does pass

As flowers of field flourish

After a time perish

So mankind, temporary

On earth his state it be

But the LORD, He His mercy

'Tis everlasting, see

Orchidee, after reading all your poems here on MPS, I realized that I don't have to go to church anymore!

Thanks Fred. Erm, don't let me put you off going Fred. It depends how we find particular churches I suppose. Can range from full of life, to dull and dreary, and everything in between! I may have written a hymn book by now, but I haven't written whole Services!
