AS SUMMER FADES

lasergraph

The summer's heat is fading now,

As we start another day.

Pools and sprinklers have been gathered up,

And have been put away.

Halloween is not far behind,

Watching kids go door to door.

Holding up their goody bag,

For candy, gum and more.

There will be princesses, fairies' and pirates too,

All gathered for you to see.

With monsters cut and full of scars,

and a blood stain on their knee.

All of the stores have put summer away,

And put Christmas on display.

With decorations everywhere,

And it is yet to be Labor Day.

So merchants hope to decorate

And with a little luck,

They can get Christmas on your mind,

As they battle for your buck.

I'm excited to see autumn, but stores make me crazy putting holidays ahead in my face. I love to slow sip each season and enjoy each sight and sound. Very appropriate write, sir.

Yes, they wish Christmas for every month.
can't believe summer is over. Let's enjoy autumn, and leave the battle for the greedy.

Good write. Autumn is my favourite month and I look forward to those days where the sun is shining and the frost is on the ground.
