BRIAN & ANGELA

 

 

O MY GOD ~ I'm crying out for help 

This is not a pious exclamation

I mean it ~ I'm really DESPARATE 

Please hear me ~ I'm going down the DRAIN !

 

Please don't just let Me float downstream 

With the rebellious & indifferent

Please GOD snatch Me out of the current

Set My feet safely on your Blessed Shore !

 

WOW My GOD that was close one ~ Thank you

For stopping Me going with the Worldly flow

You've set my feet on solid ground

You are my Rock and my Salvation ! 

 

GOD is the Hope & Salvation

Of ALL who TRUST IN HIM ~ AMEN

      Brian, while I am not what you would call a religious person, I do believe in the power of prayers, since prayers are a form of belief. If you believe it, it will happen! Like Jesus said: Ask and you shall be given!

          Well FRANK there is a lot going on Nationally & Internationally ~ BUT ~ GOD is still in CHARGE and through Prayer we can hook into His Power & Love & Peace ~ stop worrying and "Count our Blessings" and start Praising ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN

                Thanks for the Q DA ! Well we know for sure that Jesus of Nazareth (AD 0 ~ 33) was a MAN ! Th Holy Spirit is of course Gender Neutral. JUDAISM is a Patriarchal Society so culturally JEHOVAH was always described as MASCULINE and this of course is carried over into the New Testament and Christianity. There is of course the VIRGIN MARY (without a doubt a Woman !) who ~ while not a member of the Trinity ~ is a very powerful Female in the Christian Church ! Angels likewise are gender~free. So in essence GOD is both Father & Mother but personally I prefer to call Him Father ~ OK BRIAN

                  Theologists now accept jesus was not from nazareth because nazareth did not exist until 300 years after the 'crucifixion'. Jesus was a Nazarean - a sect which were known for their resistence to the occupying Roman army - a sect similar to the IRA or ISIS. Theologists now also accept that the word 'virgin' when assosciated with Mary is a mistranslation. The actual translation means 'woman of marriageable quality'.

                  A fine write Brian. I'm somewhat old-fashioned, though know others even more old-fashioned than me. I can't seem to get on with too-modern Bible versions, e.g. The Message.
                  This is great though, as 'modern' or trendy' language.
                  is it 'Desperate'? There is 'Disparate' which is something else! 'Desparate' seems non-existent.
