My oldest memory
I’m two years old
Holding a bottle of orange Crush
Stuffing my face with hot dog in roll
A photograph from 1959
Caught in the act
That was me alright
Having a cookout snack
I remember that bright sunny day
Sitting there on the baseball field
As I devoured that hot dog and Crush
My tummy all filled with a yummy meal
Can’t say I remember
The guy with the camera though
Must have thought I was in a race
A little boy eating like a pro
One bite, two bites and three
Yum yum yum
Then a big gulp from my orange Crush
Believe it or not, better than my thumb

Thanks Jane, it was a great day, as far as I can remember it. ; )
Nice work AP. Photos are difficult here, IMO. That actually shapes the nature of what I post.
Anyway, I enjoyed this piece very much. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Frank. I did post the photo on my profile page and my user ID. Thanks for reading and your comment. ; )
Great work - oh to be that age again - or perhaps not after reading Brian's poem today.
Thanks for reading Michael. ; )
