Hungry Ghosts

Goldfinch60

My wonderful wife,

Just sits there so innocent.

She does not over eat,

Is careful what she does eat.

I do not see her eat between meals,

So the conclusion I have come to

Is that we must have ghosts in the house,

Otherwise why is it,

That when I go to the biscuit barrel,

It is always empty!

Funny that we have the same problem in our household - except that I'm the culprit - great observational poem Andy.

    • Goldfinch60

Thank you Michael, it us uncanny how they disappear.

    • Frank Prem

Yup, you're onto it GF. Ghosts for sure.

      Follow the crumbs.

      • Goldfinch60

Thank you Fred and thanks for the advice, the crumbs would be followed but the place is so tidy I think the ghost tidies up behind itself. The only crumbs that are to be found are in the biscuit barrel!

Goldfinch, are you sleep walking to that barrel? Wouldn't surprise me!

        • Goldfinch60

If I sleep walk anywhere it would be to my Laphroaig.

Those biscuit-eaters are the sneakiest of all ghosts! I'd call on the 'ghost busters'!

                • Goldfinch60

I tried them but there was no reply.

I am thinking a security camera at the biscuit barrel is called for. 😀

                  • Goldfinch60

Good idea but I am not sure whether ghosts can be seen by a camera.
