Make Us Laugh

Make Us Laugh

If everyone told a joke each day

There would be less hell to pay

And we would all get along

And dream of Heaven all day long

If we laughed there’d be less crime

And we would spend less of our time

Worried about the robbers and thieves

Staking out our property

If we laughed out loud

There’d be fewer angry crowds

And we would all be set free

To gather ‘round more peacefully

If our jokes brought a tear

There'd be less crying in our beer

And we would all be less depressed

With long days of happiness

If more punch lines made us quake

The jolly would not hesitate

To share the joke with his friends

With the hope of lifting them

Very true, it is my aim to make people I meet to laugh or smile every day, If I can do that I have had a good day.
