AUTUMNS COLOURS ~ USA ~ An Acrostic Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

ASPENS in COLORADO are

UBIQUITOUS into the Fall

THEIR  leaves don't fall in Autumn as

USUAL ~ they stay on the trees

MAKING a RAINBOW of colour !

NOTHING  PREPARES YOU for such a rich

SIGHT GOD'S  PAINT BOX ~ creates for you !

COLOUR IN NEW ENGLAND is vibrant

ORANGE ~ YELLOW ~ RED ~ GREEN & BLUE

LOVELY PURPLES ~ mainly Maple

OPULANT scale ~ AMERICA as

USUAL ~ Bigger ~ Brighter ~ Better

RIOTOUS ~ Two Hundred times more Forest ~ than UK

SO HER TREES  stretch for One Hundred Miles !

Thanks STEVE ~ Interestingly enough the leaves are staying on the trees longer in OLD ENGLAND so our Autumn Scenery lasts longer. However as i emphathsised in my Poem it is the shee scale of things in the USA that bends the mind. CONFUCIUS HE SAY "Two trees outside Chop Suey House do NOT a FOREST make ! Yours BRIAN

Yes I see, the huge scale of it all. Oh good, did Confucius know the Co-op?!

Very nice acrostic!! You should see the colors around the great lakes! Although I hate to see the colors change marking the impending doom of winter, it is really beautiful. I love the reds! Hugs-Christina

GOOD MORNING CHRIS ~ I have been to some of the Lake States (including yours !) in the FALL and they are exceptional. We have discussed Seasons and lots of People say FALL is their favourite ! Because we have centrally heated Homes & Malls & 4 x 4's Winter is much more bearable now than it was 150 years ago (1867) when none of these things were in place. I am getting paid by the USA Tourist Board for promoting your Beautiful Country on line ! Yes a crimson MAPLE LEAF is a miracle ! Thanks for your comments ~ Hugs & Cuddles ~ BRIAN Man for ALL Seasons ! @@@@@@@@@@

This is so sweet. I live on an island in Florida, and quite literally do not know any seasons but summer. This is wonderful.
