Before undertaking a
Monumental shift in character
May I recommend this plea:
With the help of
Gracious guides and angels,
I release that negative aspect of self
Which no longer serves me.
May mercy be
Bestowed on me
In this transformation!
So may it be.

I see this as a plea to the inner self - great write Louis.
It may certainly be seen that way. Thanks for your comment, Michael.
Kind of a montra for a fresh start. I like it.
Mugsdaddy
It is that. I appreciate your comment, Mugs.
I think it is nearly impossible to change one's character without help. Your plea is perfect!
Especially when it has been one way for so long a time. Thanks so much, Fred!
Amen.
Perfect ending, Goldie.
A fine write L. I believe it's the 'inner self' that needs changing, not (or not only) the 'outward state' of 'society' as some abstract thing.
I'll have a sherry to that, 'O'!
Inner change will reflect outward.
This we all need.....
True words, w-s. Thank you for your input!
Great write Louis. We are doing about the same thing. Looking for changes leaving behind what we don't need.
Congratulations to you, Malu, and Godspeed!
Great write. I hope your transformation is smooth and event free.
Thank you for this kind thought, l-g, though I'm afraid it is anything but that.
Who let that pussycat in here? Everything must change, tis one of the laws of nature be it only death or decay a change will come. But you can doso much better than that with willpower and the good help of friends around you.
And where would we be without our friends here on MPS? Thanks for your comment, d-a.
Nice, may your journey be blessed and fruitful.
Thank you for the kind words, 'c'.
Absolutely love your style.
