Me and the fabrics 🎀👗

malubotelho

Serves me humble with purpose
accept my thoughts                              conforms to my desires
shapes with cuts and folds
ads values to my values
We are happy together in service.

Moves with me like a dancer
It follows me through the night
Involves my body with grace
In color illuminates my face
Catching the dark and the light.

Sensual silky feeling
in soft luxury touches
a liquid like dreaming                                 plays with me some catches
to my life ads meaning
I don't see better matches.

Almost blends with me
In smooth tight style
When my lover gets closer
Gives me a big smile
The play time is never over
We enjoy mile by mile.

We are forever friends
Jumping from jobs to jobs
We never fight or complain
We understand each other
On this affair is no pain
I hope it never ends.

A love affair with fabrics, quite well stated, and the dress pictured is stunning. I take it you are a seamstress among your other talents, Malu. Congratulations!

    • malubotelho

Thanks Louis. More than a talent it is my job and my business.
From designing to pattern making and sewing I love to do all.
As for the picture it is not a dress yet but only a drape on my manequim. I had problem uploading the picture. I had another one but was uploading in horizontal and was funny. So I had to make this fast. Thanks my friend

Ohhh MUMIA MALU ~ Love your poem and you always look beautiful whatever you wear. For me It's the Lady inside the Dress that makes the Dress beautiful ~ AMEN ! I have studied Textile Science and I love the feel (handle) of every type of fabric and it does add another dimension to love ! Thanks for sharing such a sensuous poem and elegant picture. Amor sedoso de seu BEBE ~ BRIAN XOXOX

Thanks Brian. Meu bebê sedoso. Lol 😂

Wow, Malu, just the idea of looking at a dress as a best friend is amazing. But you do have a point. Being well dressed makes us feel different inside and out. Unfortunately I don't get to "dress up" too often, our usual dress code here is shorts and t-shirt! Dressed up means long dark pants with a colorful inside/out, so muted Hawaiian shirt.

I know what you are talking about. I live in Florida and even when I go to restaurants at night mostly of the people dress in white shorts and T-shirt. I had a couture business in Brazil and was great because Brazilian people dress a lot better. Clothes in Brazil are very expensive. My business here is very small but I can not do anything else. It is my passion and as long as I can survive I keep doing it.

Malu your are very lucky to have your work be what you love , beautiful poem expressing that love , well done

                • malubotelho

Thanks WL. Yes, maybe this is why I'm not stressed. I love what I do and have a lot of fun doing it. In US is very hard to make money with a small business but I'm surviving. My customers follow me all the time.
