Wine Soaked Kisses

FredPeyer

Your wine soaked kisses

Set my heart afire

Kindling lost feelings

Setting hopes ever higher

I just met you here at the bar

Looking so lonely and sad

Triggering the biggest

Emotions I think I ever had

I wanted to save you

And hold you so tight

Hug and protect you

With all of my might

We started to talk

And I moved near

You had some more wine

And I ordered beer

With tears in your eyes

You talked about him

How he cheated on you

And the story turned grim

I put my arm around you

With a napkin dried your tears

Gently kissed  your wet lips

To allay all your fears

That’s how it started

The best part of my life

Because I did save her

And make her my wife

Thank you! Actually, I always wanted to write a country song and this is as close as I got so far.

I love this write! It's hard to imagine that it's fantasy! Great job! Flowed very well!

Thanks Christina, I don't hang around in bars, so I had to use my imagination!

Fiction? Or non-fiction? That seems to be the question. But what's important is the answer in the outcome from this meeting of hearts. ; )

Thank you AP. People meet in the strangest places, but there is something about a bar that seems to fuel the imagination.

I always suspected that you were the white knight type. I enjoyed this tale of chivalry, Fred!

Thanks Louis, and all that's missing is the horse! 🙂

Thank you Michael, coming from you, high praise indeed. And I didn't have to count neither words nor syllables! 🙂
