Last Row

FredPeyer

She always sat in the last row

Everybody only saw her as

A timid little grey mouse

Never seeing the beauty within

Until one day she stood up

And yelled: I love you all!

  • Fay Slimm.

Fred this so aptly describes someone I knew - beauty of that sort can only be seen by those who look deeper. Super read.

Thanks Fay! Unfortunately we rarely take the time to get to know people better and tend to judge them from outward appearances.

Bully for her - I'm on her side - well writ Fred.

      • FredPeyer

Thanks Michael. The writing is not so great, but I do like the subject.

        A fine write Fred.

Thank you orchidee! Is there any hymn that talks about shy people?

          • orchidee

Hi Fred. Well, I can't think of any off-hand. There could be some that talk about confidence, boldness, and phrases like, or similar to, 'Fear not'!

            A wonderful piece!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting, poetboy!

This was unexpected Fred. This is what I call a good heart. No one never saw her and still she loved them. That is rare. Great thoughts of you to write this little piece.

              • FredPeyer

Thank you Malu! If we could see into the hearts of people, I think we would be surprised at how many times we find the opposite of what we expected.

                • malubotelho

                  Yes, I believe so.

To know a person you must be able to look inside them. Good meaningful write.

                    Thank you Goldfinch! So true.
