Narrow Escape.

Goldfinch60

MPS has lot to answer for,

It nearly put me in the doghouse.

So involved in reading the poems

Had I become

That the time just flew by.

I looked up

And saw the time,

I was five minutes late,

An absolute tragedy.

I was late with my wife’s morning tea!

I made the brew

And with great trepidation

Took it up to her,

But all was well,

She was still asleep.

Goldfinch, if all husbands would be like you, the world would be a better place!

This raised a Saturday smile Goldi - glad you found eyes closed with that over-late cuppa.

I'm reminded of the old saying,
"If a tree falls in the forest and no one's there to hear it, does it make a sound?"
With her cup of tea at bedside, all she'll know is that you thought of her with love. ; )

That is a good analogy AP, thank you.

You are so sweet in taking you wife tea in bed. I used to get tea in the afternoon but no more. Oh well. So glad you've kept on. A sweet write!

I had to laugh! I read this just after bringing her morning tea. I guess we all spend too much time on MPS. Better she gets a great start in the morning, than be cranky all day. Loved this bit of humor. - Phil A.

So true Phil, so true. Thank you.
