MPS has lot to answer for,
It nearly put me in the doghouse.
So involved in reading the poems
Had I become
That the time just flew by.
I looked up
And saw the time,
I was five minutes late,
An absolute tragedy.
I was late with my wife’s morning tea!
I made the brew
And with great trepidation
Took it up to her,
But all was well,
She was still asleep.

Too true MD.
AMEN ANDY ~ All's well that ends well ~ you set a high standard for all Husbands ( and would~be Husbands) to follow ! I won't let ANGELA read this one ! Yours BRIAN
Thanks Brian.
Goldfinch, if all husbands would be like you, the world would be a better place!
This raised a Saturday smile Goldi - glad you found eyes closed with that over-late cuppa.
If i have made you smile I am happy, making people smile is one of my aims in life.
Very sweet and elegant. Thank you for sharing
Thank you RR my pleasure.
A little humor to start the day, thanks !
Humour is good for us all.
I'm reminded of the old saying,
"If a tree falls in the forest and no one's there to hear it, does it make a sound?"
With her cup of tea at bedside, all she'll know is that you thought of her with love. ; )
That is a good analogy AP, thank you.
You are so sweet in taking you wife tea in bed. I used to get tea in the afternoon but no more. Oh well. So glad you've kept on. A sweet write!
Thank you Christina, I will always keep doing it.
MPS is compelling, I agree. Nice write, Goldie.
Thank you Louis, so true about MPS.
Oh lol, good write Gold. I thought you was late cos you was busy doing final packing for 1066!
I had to laugh! I read this just after bringing her morning tea. I guess we all spend too much time on MPS. Better she gets a great start in the morning, than be cranky all day. Loved this bit of humor. - Phil A.
So true Phil, so true. Thank you.
Cooeeee, let's have a good evening at Hastings! Many from MPS there that we recognise? Some relatives of mine ARE actually there this weekend! lol.
