It is there all the time,
The music of our life.
From the first few notes
That are there at birth,
Growing into sonatas,
Which transform into quartets.
As we grow the concertos
Become the symphonies within us.
The wonder of opera travels with us.
Until at the end the mighty masses
Take us into eternity.
All the time we are dancing,
Dancing to the music,
Dancing in our minds,
Dancing in our bodies.
Others see us,
They think we are insane,
But they cannot hear the music

A fine write Gold. Yet I have a thing about dancing in some churches. It looks odd if we're the only few not physically dancing, and everyone else is 'jumping up and down'. In some churches there's no danger of any 'dancing', and some are half-asleep anyway! doh!
Thanks Orchi, yes many were sleeping yesterday as the second year of his sermon continued, at least it seemed that way.
That goes on in my brain!
Absolutely loved this, still tingling now. The song of your soul is a wonderful sound, great writing my friend.
Thank you PD, very true the song within your soul is wondrous.
Nicely done with the build up of the music, spiritually thought provoking.
Good one,
Mugs
Thank you Mugs, much appreciated.

aaah yes, the music of the soul. Quite possibly everyone hears their own music. Great write Goldie. A really great write. ; )
Thank you AP, much appreciated.
Your poem brings to mind Shakespeare's famous quote "If music be the food of life, play on...". Better yet, your is about the music of life itself that is audible only to those with inner ears. Great piece!
Thank you seek, you are most kind.
Wonderful write. Music is so powerful. Where would we be without it? Great job!
Thank you Christina, you are so right.
Hits home I definitely hear my own music and have all my life , mines not opera but I still relate , 😎 poem
Thank you WL, I listen to many many types of music and they all speak to me and are all within me.
A world without music is a deaf one! My daughter is a soprano in the opera world! When she sings, it fills my heart!
So true, may your daughter always move you into wonder with her singing.
Thank you! She does...and she is a wonder!
Like you, Goldfinch, I always loved music, grew up with it, my Dad was a (non-professional but very good) musician and there was always music in our house.
But what I like most in your excellent poem is how you relate music to our souls and inner lives. We all dance to our own tunes!
Thank you Fred, so kind as ever.
Another fine metaphor from your talented pen, Goldie! I've heard musical themes in my head all my life ... works of great beauty. Apparently you've heard those of your own. Well done write, sir.
Thank you Louis, music is always with me.
A wonderful write and reminder that dancing to the music of life makes all the difference. A lovely video too.
Thank you Fay, we must always keep dancing to the rhythm of life.
