the water

Frank Prem

I am the water
of this stream

small river

I hold no colour
but my stone

my gravel

the creeping moss

gaze through me
to the sand
paddle me
in my shallows

follow
the sun-shaft
down
through the depth
of my excavations
until the light
turns
into patient waiting

I am the water
of your life

paddle through me
in your shallows

gaze
into the depths
that are your own

lose yourself
in me

in you

I am
the water

A life, a stream, you are the water. Like two streams join to become a small river. Water is the essence of Love. Nice poem, Frank. - Phil A.
