bass lines

Frank Prem

doo-do-do-do      doo-doo-doo-d

doo-do-do-do      doo-doo-doo-d

doo-do-do-do      doo-doo-doo-d

the bass line
is an insinuation
by the café stereo system

playing noise
pitched just above the sound of

clatter-clatter-cla-cla-cla-cl

clatter-clatter-cla-cla-cla-cl

and

shu-shu-shu-shu      shu shu      sh      sh

shu-shu-shu-shu      shu shu      sh      sh

voices interspersed
tell the state of things

the bread
just out of the oven

doo-doo-doo-do

another flat white
wanted now

take away

shu-shu-shu      sh

clean up
after table five please

clatter-clatter-clatter-cl

clatter-clatter-clatter-cl

the bass line
on the café stereo system is

doo-do-do-do      doo-doo-doo-d

doo-do-do-do      doo-doo-doo-d

an insinuation

Very good write with the song intermixed with the orders.

CHeers GF. Always fascinating to attend to the hubbub, rather than have it take over.

Great poetic fun-wrte of the busy sounds around café life Frank. I fancy a yummy white flat if there's one to spare - do do dummy do yum .

Sounds good to me Frank. And just for good measure, let's throw in some electric git tar.

I do love this poem and the way it is structured, Frank.
But, what the heck is a 'flat white'?

Cheers Fred. It's a cappuccino without froth - for those of us with mustaches.
