After the first three they are not in the order I would place them but some don't apply to me anyway - nevertheless a good set of ground rules and good write.

Thanks MICHAEL ~ Those Commandments that deal with our Responsibilities in the Community and the Home (Nos. 5 to 10) do form the basis of the LAW in many Countries. The first four (as I said) are SPIRITUAL and only binding on JEWS & CHRISTIANS ~ OK ! Thanks for your reasoned comment ~ BRIAN

What do you mean Brian, the first four are only binding on Jews and Christians? Are Hindus, Buddhists, Islam, and Atheists free to murder, steal, pay false witness, and commit adultery? Look, every religion has its laws and they are all very similar with the first one being to love each other, no matter if you are Christian, Buddhist, or whatever.

Thanks FRED ~ I did not wish to imply that ~ All Religions have their own Moral Code. But the TEN COMMANDMENTS given by GOD to MOSES on Mount Sinai are an integral part of JUDAISM & CHRISTIANITY. So as a Christian I recognise JEHOVAH (and the Trinity) as the only TRUE GOD ~ I do not worship IDOLS of Wood Stone Metal or Plastic etc ~ I do not blaspheme ~ I keep Sunday Special ~ To me these are the specifically CHRISTIAN aspects of the COMMANMENTS ~ My Jewish Friends keep the SABBATH (Saturday) as a Special Holy Day. Other Religions have different Religious Observances such a RAMADIN etc. Other Religions would probably include the other SIX as would most Democratic Secular Societies. They are the basis of Moral Law. As a Christian I follow the MORAL TEACHING of the Bible but also the Spiritual Guidence regarding Church Attendance ~ Prayer ~ Witnessing and Christian Service etc ! I have much in common \"morally\" with my Athiest and Agnostic and \"Other Religion\" Friends and Colleagues but they do not share my customs and practices (such as the importance of the \"Communion Service\" etc. which are basically \"Christian\". Thanks for your question and observations ~ Yours BRIAN

I think it's only to be expected in a not necessarily asking only church people survey, that the Community and Home commands have appeared first, and the Spiritual ones at the end. Looks pretty accurate to say that, or generally speaking in this list.

Thanks STEVE it's the age we live in ~ almost a Post-Christian age. Commandments 5 to 10 are related to the Home & Community and 6 to 10 would be common to all Religions and be Laws in most Democratic Countries ! Thanks for your reasoned reply ~ Yours BRIAN

Sorry for my late reply-anyway I find them interesting. Some are a little out of whack but who I am to judge your poll? Very intriguing and unique. Thanks for sharing. SIsterly hugs-Christina

Thanks CHRIS ~ Thanks for your objective comment. The high % for the Personal & Community aspects of the 10 C's and the low % for the Spiritual (Judeo~Christian) ones is a reflection of the increasing Atheism & Agnosticism in the UK ~ a similar Poll in the USA would be interesting ! Both our Societies are becoming increasingly secular and the Commercial Desecration of Sunday is a good example. My family never shopped on a Sunday ~ never bought a Sunday Newspaper and never used Public Transport on a Sunday ~ we always walked to Church ! I try to do the Same ! HUGS in the Spirit ~ BRIAN (Sabbatarian !).
