Glorious Sunshine

FredPeyer

Glorious sunshine

Radiating heat

Spreading warmth

To hearts

And souls

Butterflies dancing

In stomachs

And minds

Love floating

Through space

Happy laughter

Twinkling eyes

With smiles

Reflections of

Endearing kindness

Joy overflowing

Fountains of

Liquid euphoria

With peace

And serenity

Sun’s rays

Delighting the

Senses

Elated to

Be alive

Wonderful positive write, the wonder that sunshine can bring to us is always good.
Good style of writing as well Fred.

Thank you Goldfinch. This is my second experiment with one/two word lines and it was much harder to write than the first one. Glad you like it! Thanks!

Just great - it works so well - more?

      • FredPeyer

Thanks so much Michael! Not right now, have something else up my sleeve! ๐Ÿ™‚

Is it an arm ? LoL ๐Ÿ™‚

A fine write Fred. And then it rained.... that put the tin hat on it! lol.
I suppose it's easier sometimes to be long. One can just waffle on (no change there then for me?).

          • FredPeyer

Thanks orchidee, yes it seems to be easier if we can use more words. Keeping it to a minimum I think is harder. The next thing I want to try is to do a one/two word per line poem that rhymes. That'll be a challenge!

A great write comes from you Fred no matter how the style you write.

            • FredPeyer

Ahww, AP, thank you so much for this vote of confidence! Are you trying to butter me up? Do you need anything? ๐Ÿ™‚

              • Accidental Poet

I'd love a refresher on summer Fred. Maybe I'll need more butter for that eh?

              • Christina8

A beautiful poem, Fred! Not just the style, which I like, but the happy content and the ending "elated to be alive". Great message as I start my day!

                • FredPeyer

Thanks Christina, I do wish all my days would be like that, but......

                • WL Schuett

Fun juxtaposition from yesterdayโ€™s poem ,Fred ,equally as good

                  • FredPeyer

Thank you WL, that's exactly what I wanted to do, but as I said in my comment and above, it was much harder to write than the first one.

A beautiful day to enjoy. Simply love this short form.

                    • FredPeyer

Thanks so much m&m! I do like it too and will probably try to write some more in this form.

                    • Louis Gibbs

Five uplifting short poems I see here, Fred. Can't connect them in my mind too well, but enjoyed them just the same. Interesting experimentation you are doing! Congratulations for roaming outside the box.

                      • FredPeyer

You are so right, Louis! I just read it again, and the five stanzas really do feel like separate poems. But I do think that the subject matter holds them together at least a bit. Thanks so much for pointing it out! It takes a poet to see that.

Love these informing two liners Fred - - sunshine written like this feels so warm and inviting. Great read.

                        • FredPeyer

Coming from such an accomplished writer as you Fay, your comment does mean a lot! Thank you!

I enjoyed reading this warm expression, especially since I started my day below freezing. Thanks for the warm up.

                          • FredPeyer

Thanks lasergraph, just trying to spread some of our warmth here to colder areas of the country! ๐Ÿ™‚
