Tune: Llanfair
('Hail the day that sees Him rise')
Psalm 72 v.11-20
********
All kings shall (be)'fore Him fall down - Alleluia!
As Lord and King Him shall crown - Alleluia!
All nations shall serve Him sure - Alleluia!
He shall reign for evermore - Alleluia!
The needy He does help, hear - Alleluia!
To souls of needy draws near - Alleluia!
They shall be delivered soon - Alleluia!
And praise Him in joyful tune - Alleluia!
Worthy of earth's richest store - Alleuia!
That we can offer Him pure - Alleluia
His name shall endure for e'er - Alleluia!
Prosperity, ours a share - Alleluia!
His name shall continue on - Alleluia!
As it has through ages gone - Alleluia!
Long as the sun it remains - Alleluia!
In Him mankind blessing gains - Alleluia!
All nations shall call Him blessed - Alleluia!
This their witness, they confess - Alleluia!
That He is blessed, He the LORD - Alleluia!
The LORD God, by all adored - Alleluia!
He the God of Israel - Alleluia!
Only does great things, we tell - Alleluia!
Wondrous things, blessed be His name - Alleluia!
Worship His eternal fame - Alleluia!
And let the whole earth be filled - Alleluia!
With His glory, He has willed - Alleluia!
All things below and above - Alleluia!
O'erseen supreme by His love - Alleluia!
Here doxology we raise - Alleluia!
Let all creation Him praise - Alleluia!
Prayers as incense waft on high - Alleluia!
To Him who lives, ne'er shall die - Alleluia!

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 7777 metre with Alleluias! Almost as many as the letters in the full title name: Llanfairpwyngyll-wotsit! The last stanza says 'doxology'. Psalm 72 is the last of one of the 'Books' of Psalms, ending with a formal expression of praise.

Thanks for raising our SPIRITS STEVE ~ on a Tuesday ~ often a BLUESDAY ! Your Anthem & Poem really blew all my TUESDAY BLUES ~ far away ~ Yours BRIAN
Thanks Brian.
I feel uplifted and renewed. Great inspirational piece.
Thanks laser.
Only one word to say Orchi - Alleluia.
Thanks Gold. I may sound like a parrot with all the Alleluias, but the only one I shall say in me KP marriage is: 'Alleluia she's leaving for good!' heehee.
This may be the reigning rhapsody, orchi, but YOU are the reigning hymn poet!
Thanks Fred. There's only a rhapsody of utter misery in me KP marriage though! lol.
Remember orchi, when you are at the bottom, the only way to go is up! Forget KP, she was never meant for you. You are too good for her!
She may be OK without the botox, but at the moment it's like kissing a goldfish every time! lol
How would you know? Do you habitually kiss fish?
