ERRANT PROGRAMMING

Louis Gibbs

We set out into the world infused

With the errant programming

Installed by our parents and

Our particular culture.

Is it any wonder then

That the same old mistakes,

The same conflicts and divisions,

Rage on for generations, ad infinitum,

Until ... perhaps, eventually, hopefully,

The sheer folly of it dawns in the

Collective mind and a grand

New script is created.

We can hope.

A fine write Louis. I see it as our 'programming' of sorts (not an exact description) went wrong ever since Adam and Eve.
Would you Adam and Eve it - believe it? I would!

Yeah, they started the whole mess I guess. It's been downhill since then. Thanks for your comment, 'O'.

Yes programming is responsible for much of human conflictional error- a good reminder dear Louis.

Cultural programming offers the ego an identity ... very powerful, indeed. Thank you for your thoughts on this, dear Fay!

I think we need to reformat and start over.

Control, Alt., Delete ... Reprogram from scratch! I'm in agreement, LG. Thanks for your comment.

Great poem and food for thought! To finally change that script is very hard work! Millions of programming lines! Will it ever work? We'll see when we next come back!

Or maybe a time or two after. We'll get there eventually. Otherwise, what would be the point of all this? Thanks for your thoughtful input, Fred!
