I looked up into dawns lightening sky
And I saw that sliver of light
Showing me the waning moon,
Its life going into the darkness
At the end of its present life.
As I looked with sadness
The thought came to me,
That no matter how dark it became
The light of life will arise once more
And life will continue in joy,
As the moon will again shine upon us.

A fine write Gold. It's started me singing (oh no!):
'Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou softer moon with softer gleam'.....
Thanks Orchi, luckily I cannot hear you from here.
Love your moon shot!
A write with a photo illustration. Nice touch!
Where thereās light, there IS life! Spot on Gold!
Thank you Laura, much appreciated.

Thank you Kevin, most grateful.

Thank you WL, I am trying to get back into my photography, I will put some more up in the future.
You always find the bright side to watch, such a positive attitude to life. Well done.
Thank you m and m, I try to always be positive even in adversity.
Lovely metaphor, Goldie. Cycles of the moon and cycles of life, well portrayed!
Thank you Louis, it just seemed to fit my thinking at the time.
Claude Debussy is one of my favourites in the classical genre and this a wonderful very popular piece. Your words are peacefully inspiring. Life goes on in its most successful forms regardless of anything be it flood or meteor strike. But my words here carry nothing of the romance of yours. One of your best that i have read. Definately heads for my favourites.
Thank you da, I am honoured by your words.
Life is a cycle, made of cycles within cycles. Great poem Goldfinch!
Thank you Fred. Yes you are so right cycles within cycles is the way we all tend to live our lives.
