Cut three times and still too short

FredPeyer

He hung his face in shame

Knowing it was wrong

It had always been the same

He saw it all along

Unable though to put an end

Always the same mistake

No matter how he tried to mend

He did not get a break

Done once is not too bad

Done twice it looks quite glum

But thrice does make one mad

More of the same is plain dumb

If only he could learn at last

To change the habit and his ways

To not always repeat the past

But start anew and finally rephrase

The moral to this story is quite clear

Regardless of what you do

Making the same mistake, I fear

Does not look good on you

What do you call a guy with a black/blue eye? Accident prone!
What do you call a guy with two black/blue eyes? A slow learner!

Alternatively, making the same mistake three or more times and realising it shows it to be one huge hurdle a soul must be continually struggling to overcome. Finally conquering the issue will be a much higher degree of achievement than that of the one mistake never repeated ilk.
Let not a man be judged by his achievements but rather - by the obstacles he overcame in his achievements.

Thanks da! As they say, every obstacle is also an opportunity!

                • myself and me

It took a lot of courage and consistency to make the same mistake again and again, I guess.

                  • FredPeyer

Thanks, m&m, it definitely takes consistency!
