What Is This..

Alondritaa14

What is this..

Everything is clustered, difficult to express.

Thinking I have it all figured out, never been so wrong in my life.

What is this..

Reaching to your core to remove a knife.

Nothing is there, what once was a whole piece is now found shattered.

What is this..

Did it even matter.

Cornered, shut eyes, knees to chest.

Body motions, front and back like a rocking chair.

God is this a test.

What is this..

Sunk in, surrounded by porcelain, not enough pressure from the head above mine.

Turning and turning and turning the lever, drops aren’t hitting hard enough.

Drenched from the pressure. Drenched from the crying.

What is this..

Thoughts, thoughts, images.

Your physical appearance far close to class.

One day we were there now I am here full of wrath.

Layer over layer, still not enough pressure to compress the pain.

What is this..

Nausea, empty, what is it like to have more than a bite.

Room taken over by beds, chaos from wall to wall, hurling over the toilet every night.

River ran. Rivers dry. Imperfect person. Oh God I promise I tried.

What is this..

Continuing to praise your beautiful name. For the love will always remain.

Scenarios, thoughts, words, anger, sorrow.

What is this..

Clueless yesterday clueless today. In hopes to find out tomorrow.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This particular writing is very dear to me. When I write I find myself in another world, another dimension, it is not until I read my very own words that I realize what exactly is going through my head. This poem was inspired by someone who I sought to be the light at the end of the tunnel but was not able to wait for my upcoming. The tunnel became dark and I am afraid of the dark. However, as the days go on I must learn how to spark my own light and reach the end of the tunnel on my own.

WELCOME ALONDRITA (great name !) Thanks for your first Poem ~ which asks so so many questions about Life & Love. It drips with poignancy and yet ends on a positive resolve as expressed in your comment ! In the tunnel of Life & Love we all have to "Strike the spark of our own light !" I love this type of poetry ~ and often find myself writing it ! It is only when i read it back ~ that i realise what I have written ! Such poetry (like yours) is from the Heart ~ not the Head ! Thinking of you (still in the Tunnel ?) ~ More Poems please ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B.
